The side panel

How the rail and panels work.

• The rail runs down the right edge and holds an icon for every app: your Google Workspace apps plus anything you add from the Marketplace.
• Open and close. Press an app's icon to open its panel; press it again to close it.
• The Briefing shows when no app is selected: your day at a glance.
• The + (Add) button at the bottom of the rail opens the Marketplace, where you connect more tools.
